As a Hamilton County Master Gardener, I bring a comprehensive understanding of our local habitat and a passion for sustainable gardening practices. Rooted in a family tree that spans generations of farmers, 200 years to be exact, I also embody a heritage full of agricultural wisdom. Whether you're tending indoor houseplants, cultivating a backyard grocery garden, establishing a pollinator haven, or seeking solace in a healing garden, I offer personalized guidance tailored to your unique vision and needs. Our ultimate goal is to provide the resources and support for you to thrive and experience the joy of Mother Nature!
We believe in choice and flexibility here at Ginger Root. Everyone is at a different point in their gardening journey and requires different gardening needs. We offer different coaching packages based on these factors, starting with knowledgeable support to complete installation.
Option 1 - Garden coaching
This 60 minute, onsite coaching session is a time for me to better understand your gardening aspirations while also providing knowledge and support to get you there! We will work together to develop an action plan for you to transform your vision into a garden dream. My specialties are backyard grocery gardens to grow your own food, pollinator gardens to support our local ecosystem and healing gardens to find solace in nature.
Price: $100 per 90 minute coaching session

option 2 - garden coaching w/ design
This package includes an additional support boost when compared to Option 1. It includes everything in Option 1 plus a custom garden design tailored to your specific environment and gardening aspirations. Garden designs incorporate essential planning techniques including plant spacing and companion planting. With this package, you will have all the information needed to start your new garden, including a Indiana specific planting calendar!
Price: Starting at $250. Final price depends on complexity of the project.

option 3 - garden coaching w/ design and installation
Are you looking for someone else to take charge and get their hands dirty? This is the package for you. This complete package includes an initial garden consultation, a custom garden design, material and supplies selection, material and supplies ordering, material and supplies delivery, and installation.
Price: Initial Consultation Starts at $100. Design and installation vary based on the complexity of the project.
Deliverable: Gardening Care Guide. Fully ordered and installed garden bed per agreed upon design.
indoor houseplant coaching
One hour of in home houseplant consultation. This 60 minutes is your time to pick my planty brain however you need! I can provide troubleshooting on specific houseplant issues, provide houseplant recommendations for your specific home conditions or go over general houseplant care. We can even go houseplant shopping together! Yes, please! With over 7 years of experience and 100’s of houseplants, I am the person for the job.
Price: $85 per 60 minute coaching session
